Comfortable once I got right size

Normally I wear a 9.5SS in Munro. On this shoe the ankle strap was a perfect fit in 9.5 SS but the bottom band near my toes was too tight. The length was also a bit long. I swapped the 9.5SS for a 9N, but the bottom band was still too tight. So I exchanged for a size 9.5N - and they work.

I can detect very little difference in the size of the lower band in the 3 pairs. I have been buying Munro for 30 years. This is the first time I have had this challenge and had to swap sizes 3 times. I went through the effort because the shoes are very comfortable with the thicker heel, yet will work for a dressier occasion (at least in black - I wish the gold color came on a darker heel to make them look dressier).
