Joliet II

I have been very happy with my Joliet II - Just recently found them! I wear an 11 narrow and have a high arch - This shoe fits like a glove, providing excellent support and is an attractive shoe. Unfortunately, although I would like to purchase another pair I find they are out of stock! Hope to see my size available again soon!

Joliet

I am so glad I found these shoes again. I bought this shoe in the tan years ago, love them and still wear them. Wanted a pair in black and just got them and wore them all day. Great fit.. I am a true 8.5 and these fit perfectly. I also need arch support and these are great. I also like the style and ease of putting them on and taking off. Very pleased with my new Joliets and will probalby replace my old tan ones with a new pair.

Not worth the price

I was thrilled to find a shoe that fit so well. I wear a 10.5 N. The first pair was the lace up version of Joliet. The fabric frayed from the leather at the top of both shoes within a few months. I had bought them while on vacation in New Jersey. Since I live in Texas I did not return them.
I later bought the Joliet version in black leather and grey/pewter fabric which tended to snag.
I retired both for a while but recently buffed them up and wore them. I noticed a huge black smudge on my car floor mat 😲. The soles cracked completely through and pieces were falling off.
I got out my laceups which looked fine until I flexed them. Same problem!!!
Since the shoes have been kept in my closet away from sun and temperature variations I can only conclude that substandard materials were used.
I have a pair of Bandolino’s that are nearly 30 years old with a similar cushion sole which are just fine to this very day. So I know a better material exists.
$230 is entirely too much for disintegrating shoes.
Send a prepaid shipping label and I will gladly return them.

The Joliet is manufactured with a newly designed outsole.
Your shoes are the Jolie, introduced in 2010, approximately 12 years ago. The price at the time was $185.
We understand the issue you describe; which is a result of age and, oddly enough, lack of wear. This issue with the outsole is not common, nor exclusive to Munro. Outsoles are sourced by trusted, reputable manufactures, with a commitment to quality that service a great deal of the footwear industry. These type of outsoles cannot be repaired nor replaced.

Sole problem

Loved the first pair and there is a but… Took them on a trip to Europe last week. After the second day the sole started to disintegrate. Duck tape held them together but the look was sad. Now I hesitate to order another pair as they are rather expensive for limited wear

The issue you describe is related to age & wear.
Although, I cannot be 100% certain without photos or a stock no., it is likely that your pair is the Jolie (from 2005) rather than Joliet. If you will call customer service at 1.800.819.1901, we would be happy to confirm the style and age of the shoes you took on your trip.
Munro sources all of its outsoles from manufactures that supply the footwear industry and are committed to quality assurance. Please visit our FAQ page for information about outsole wear.

Great casual shoe

I like this shoe so much this is the second time I purchased this shoe in both black and taupe. I had the previous pairs for several years. Very comfortable. Well made and attractive with jeans and pants.
